FREE* Downloads for everyone... Did we stutter? There is of course that asterisk but more on that in a second but first the obligatory legal mumbo jumbo.

40 Lb. Head is granting you the consumer a license to download and listen to these songs for as long as you have possession of the file or copies of the file. These files are protected by copyright laws, and may not be reproduced, republished, distributed, transmitted, displayed, broadcast or otherwise exploited for personal gain, commercial purposes or resale purposes without the express prior written permission of 40 LB. Head

As you know there is no such thing as a completely free lunch and that's the case here as well. These titles are being released under the "Beerware" and "Donateware" licenses. So what the hell is a "Beerware" or "Donateware" license you ask yourself? The first part is simple and in fun, if you download, like the music and intend on keeping the file(s) if and when you have the chance you have to buy the guys in the band a beer or a drink. If that's not possible stop in the forum and let them know you appreciate their efforts.

The second part is the most important aspect of this whole deal, the "Donateware" clause is that you give to one of the charities listed below or any charity of your choice. Just make sure it's not one of those giant ones that suck up half the profits in expenses, preferably a small local one in your area if you choose your own. You can make the donation on the behalf of 40 Lb. Head if you wish.

How much? Well that's up to you, it's suggested you give roughly $5 dollars per album or about 50 cents per song but how much you give is entirely up to you. There's no set amount here what is important is you give something.

On a final note for those of you that do download these songs and do not make a donation....well you're dirt. To the rest of you enjoy!
